Bling for 659

659 won’t be running In time for LOG, But between important tasks like mounting windshields and seatbelts I’ve been working on bling so I’ll at least have something show.   Tonight I got the LAMM window to light up.   Maybe in 10 days I’ll have more to display.

Thanks Dakazman.   Now I realize what the true reason I retired was.  Projects with to-do-by dates are no fun getting near the end.  The motor light and angel eyes are done, but three more difficult/critical things are still waiting for me to do.   I’ll make it, but my mood at LOG might not be the best.  This is my first LOG event so I’m a newcomer to that as well. Exciting times for me.

Rest assured you'll have a big time at the LOG, Left! I have no doubt you're care will draw quite a bit of attention! Presumably you'll want to enter the "casual concours" or "people's choice 'competition'"  and you'll have to decide what kind of Lotus you have.

Enjoy it, take a lot of pictures and post them in the gallery when you get back home!

Your first LOG is always an adventure and a bit of anxiety about what will happen. Be assured you will have a great time amongst the Lotus faithful and everyone is friendly and more than happy to talk about your car and the work done. I’ve been to two LOG’s without a Lotus and they were still a lot of fun.

Suggestion, there are two contests you can enter if your in a mood to write about your experiences of why your Lotus isn’t running but you brought it to LOG. A LOG trophy is a cherrist thing.

The main Lotus club on our side of the pond is Lotus Ltd. They hold a Lotus Owner's Gathering (LOG) every year, usually near a track or other feature where your Lotus can stretch her legs as well as some other interesting attractions. There is a speaker with some connection to Lotus, banquets, a "casual concours", and sometimes a serious concours, a panoramic picture of all the Loti in attendance, and a lot of other fun with people of a similar affliction.

This one is in Cincinnati. They will announce the location of the next LOG there. If you can go, you should!
