pinstripe material
« on: Thursday,April 05, 2018, 05:58:04 AM »
So a question on the pinstripe. I have been looking at where to buy the pinstripe here in the UK and can't seem to source the correct size.
The width of the stripe should be 3/16th I believe which is near enough for this 5mm. All I seem to be able to get is 3mm or 6mm. Any UK guys have a source for the pinstripe material?

Cheers

I may be a little late, got my tape directly from 3M here in the states...decided to have my stripes painted on anyway.

Here's an old pdf taken from the defunct Lotus Europa Central site...It might help on placement.

That's a great file to show the general placement but somehow I doubt that they were put so accurately at the factory. The body shop that did my paint also striped the top of the engine cover without my prompting. I'm really glad they did. Unfortunately, I did tell them to use 1/4" rather than 3/16" stripes so the bottom of the rear of the engine cover is not curved to match the edge.
