It's not that bad, Turbo.  Unless you're starting with a new harness...it pretty much falls into place and is obvious, at least in my experience.  One circuit at a time.  Test, verify, move to the next.

The only thing that could give you fits is the DB10...but even then, it should work out.

I went through two new DB10 Lucas units until I realized that the new electronic versions cover was grounding on the posts. Apparently, the covers I had on both units were pushed on too hard and were making contact with the posts. Just something to check if you are using a new unit.

Turbo , now that I’m working in the cabin with a windscreen in I feel boxed in.  One thing that I did was to add 9” extensions to the DB10 relay which allows a little more room for big hands.
 
  The biggest mod to the facia would be to add a breakout of the steering column mount so that you don’t have to add the nuts to the column mount from underneath. Just add in two securing screws to the existing bracket below facia.

  Bryan is correct, one circuit at a time.
 
  I am thinking about putting in the 3/4 pvc pipes to hold up the facia again ,but I added metal plates to secure the crashpad that can be removed at any time.

  With my big hands behind facia, I pulled out some of my led gauge lighting and bent my oil pressure line. 🥱
 
 Finished the heater wiring and some other non Europa projects today 😁 . Tomorrow I should have it all back together. Then to secure the new fuse box and relay panel.

  After a month and a half I finally had a few hours to work on the lotus. I started by getting into the side window travel. I removed the motor and regulator assembly and found a washer welded to the gear cog as a stop . I cut off two teeth on the down side and 1 cog on the up . It was pleasantly enough to seal the glass in the up position a bit tighter and added an inch in the down travel.

 Continuing my quest for no water leaks I added door seals from an 84 Astro van and a smaller stick on off eBay. Pic 1. Doors shut pretty good but the left  top hinge needs to come in a bit. For that reason I did not water test it.
  The left side door worked pretty good with a small leak on the 1/4 glass front corner. Then a major leak above window…🥱I forgot to put a bolt in the sunvisors  rod holes.
  Then there is an additional seal on the outside lower window that I managed to fit and block out the massive gap there. It’s also a 85 Astro window seal. I took a pic of the P/N also. Had to manipulate it a little but it’s coming along. I may paint the little lip silver sir it blends a bit better.
 Cutting down the inner lip will stop the bowing hopefully in the last pic .
Then I’ll see I I can buy another piece to use on the opposite side that was short by a few inches.

  Moving along with my seatbelts, I placed an order for 10 yards of webbing 2” wide from Amazon.
I called the Ma site but after a quote of $99 each plus shipping it seemed logical to try to see how hard it would be to see two ends on .
 I passed a sewing needle through by hand easily so now I’ll start cutting and melting the edges of the fabric.  I’ll post a finished piece asap.

  I do have the fire retardant thread from when my BA sewed up the seats.
 Funny thing, on the shoulder strap showed up when I was looking for the ends . Thinking it should have some kind of strength, nope, two pop rivets into a piece of plastic. I will be fabricating an aluminum plate here instead. See pic .
  I’m just going to have the seamstress copy the pattern from the old webbing.  Cut 4 short belts and pinned up , ready to go tomorrow.

  I’m puzzled.
  I learned a bit today about these kangol belts but now have more questions.
 1. Why is there a magnet in the lift side of the belts?
 2. I guess I’m old fashioned but I thought all belts were male / female ( working in the airline industry was pretty simple)  How do these connect and stay together.
  All most put a set together but I don’t see how it works.
  The plastic shoulder strap was replaced with an aluminum piece but I’m still working to polish them up.

Yeah, I have a set or two and ran them, but I switched to modern replacements because they would auto-unlatch all the time.  Made my wife a bit jumpy finding herself unexpectedly untethered.  YMMV

Dave, it looks as though you're trying to put the two parts together the wrong way.  The 'hook' goes around the black plastic piece with the matching radius, not the knurled metal bar.  I believe the magnets should line up with the holes on the 'hook'.  They're supposed to keep the two parts together and in the right position.

  Now that my end plates are polished up I can finish putting the shoulder strap section back together and pop rivet the ends on .

  Finished the seat belt sets today.  So the $20 bucks for the webbing was well worth the time spent in repairing them.  I made some mistakes but they look better than throwing in the old one that wouldn’t adjust .  The sets were done one at a time to check the plaoand routing of the webbing.
  I added a stainless piece of trim to stop the rivets from pulling through the plastic ends. Getting the process correct was now learned to drill faster thru the webbing to prevent pulls.
   Now I can get back inside the car and put everything back together!!!😁  Then to search for correct wiper blades that were posted a few weeks ago.
 Any questions?

  After several leak checks with spraying in water, I’m Happy. So I spent another 8 hours putting things back together and sorting out wire runs.
  Searching for a small L bracket for the dash was found after I pulled the seat out to start putting in the seatbelts. Tomorrow should be clear sailing.😁👍
