windshield - plastic strip behind bottom of screen
« on: Thursday,February 23, 2017, 10:47:12 AM »
Hi all,

I removed my windshield yesterday.

AND

Found this strip of plastic in the channel behind the base of the windshield.

with all the mess that came out with the glass I am not exactly sure where this plastic strip was located - or - what it is for.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

That is just a piece of trim to hide the seal of the windshield and the edge of the crash pad (and maybe to keep it from coming loose. I lost mine. I covered my crash pad with stitched vinyl (actually, the interior shop did it) and the shop put everything together without it.

My point is that you can do without it or replace it with something nicer.
