I had a similar issue on my TCS. New discs and a set of refurbished callipers. one side perfect the other side just rubbing. swapped around everything, even the bearings, no difference. On mine it was rubbing on the inner edge I think as I spaced the calliper out by about 20tho with spacer washers between the calliper and the mounting bracket.

so you are not the only one and am sure won't be the last.

Thanks Buzzer - that makes me feel better. All sounds very similar. Problem solving takes ages - and I probably still haven't solved it. I kept thinking it was the bearings - then the stub axles - then my workmanship - then the discs.

I never expected it to be easy solving some problems on this car - but was not expecting any with discs and hubs...

I think the hose is a special part. Try Banks Europa.

I have all the parts, hubs, stub axle, caliper brackets, etc second hand for swapping over to see what is wrong. If you fancy a trip up the M11/A11, we can sort it our easily any weekend.

Hmm, from your latest findings it does sound like something may be bent and I can only think of the caliper bracket at the moment. Clutching at straws now, did you dismantle the caliper bracket & disc shield as well and if so are both sides assembled in the same order ?   I'll admit I'm stuck for answers !

If you need to push the disc inwards towards the vertical link and are wary of an axle shim which might loosen with bearing adjustment, you could always put 4 slim washers underneath the disc where it bolts to the hub. That's almost a fit and forget solution ?

Thanks Alex - I may consider something like that in the future but as I have pressure on getting the car mobile I feel I will stick with what Ive got for now - and spend more time putting parts back on the car rather than taking them off! - I will probably put a spacer between hub and disc as Brian suggests. I tested this out quickly yesterday and everything was fine - not a very professional solution - but I have spent 2 days getting nowhere.

I don't have a disc shield. I mentioned it to Richard at Banks - and he said don't worry about it. I haven't removed the caliper bracket from the upright.

It is not easy to measure - but I think I could find around a half mm difference between the face of the disc and the face that the caliper bolts on both sides of the car - so something is not quite right. At least by packing out the disc I haven't actually modified any parts of the car - and it give me options in the future...
