The last character on the is VIN is suppose to be a letter. It's kind of difficult to tell but it appears that the last character is a Q so your S2 is a non federal version. Thus no DB10 relay fitted.

It's time to start tracing wires with basic electrical trouble shooting. I would recommend getting a poster size copy of the wiring diagram printed and a "go/no go" test device, a test light, and start checking out each circuit from the fuse box to load. Make sure all grounds are clean, be methodical and happy hunting.
