Pete, I've not formally documented my swap. I'm using a series 3 engine, the one with the oil filter incorporated in the block. I have a set of jigs to make motor mounts for that series engine in a Twin Cam chassis. I basically used the Dunnell Option kit 1 with a pair of webers from them as well. They modify the carbs for that package. Dunnell uses all the stock Ford senors, so from that stand point it is plug and play. I took advantage of an offer from Ford to buy a stock crate engine. However, that was several years ago and I think they only offer the Duratec engine now. But the engines are readily available from many sources. I used the stock flywheel with a clutch plate modified to accept the gear box input shaft splines. I also modified the the starter with a 9 tooth gear so it would match up with the stock flywheel. I made a spacer to move the starter further away from the flywheel. I also converted to a hydraulic clutch. The heater valve is from a Dodge, I think
, can't really remember. The water pump is from Raceline. Changes the direction of the water pump. They also sell an alternator kit, but I think I made my own. I used an alternator from a GEO (cheap and small).
If you need additional information let me know. I'm sure there are a lot of little things I'm forgetting.
