Great scenery Mark, and from the roads and weather it looks great driving country.  At the moment here I go round a corner and meet a tractor blocking the road !

It was a great drive! Generally my car did great, though I was running hot on the upgrade. We drove from an elevation of about 4200'/1300m to 9700'/2960m. At start up above ~9,500'/2900m I may have flooded it, but I was headed downhill so just coasted down a bit, bump started it, and was off. I was also running hot down in the valley headed home (it was about 90F outside). Time to flush my cooling system yet again.

That first photo with your TC in the yellow trees is really stunning.  I see a coffee table puzzle in your future.

Colin forgive me for what I'm about to say but I would cheerfully trade my Europa +$$$ for an Alpine A110.  That doesn't mean I'm not anything but delighted with my Lotus but the Alpines are just that much more drop-dead gorgeous and I have always had a soft spot for rear engines since my air-cooled VW days.

I don't know about Colin, but I forgive you. I guess I'm just a soft touch! :)

You need to add a few more $$$...... have you seen the price of a decent A110 1600 recently?   :'(
The last one I recall selling in Australia went for about the same price as the last 5 Europas sold combined.

A lovely selection of vintage competition, and I must confess to a strong desire for an Alpine A110 myself. When the prices started to climb for these cars a few years ago they quickly became out of reach, though. I don't know if I would trade my Europa for one, but I would sure love to park them side by side in my garage. :pirate:
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

My Europa looks great next to a museum Elan. If only they could sell me the Elan so I can put it next to my Europa all the time... Almost the same color but when the sun hits them they are different. The Elan was mostly original except the paint, outside emblems, new dash and a few engine differences too. Got to sit in the car as well and I actually fit even though its a coupe.

Two very pretty examples in very pretty blues! I would think that if you can fit in a Europa, you could fit in an Elan!

I believe you're taller than I am so I'm surprised you can fit in the Europa in the first place!  :)

Not sure what "400 clicks" are but that's a very pretty picture of a very pretty Europa!

Spell check issue: 400 "klicks" = 400 kilometres = 250 miles.
