A while ago, I heard that Kendall made some blue grease that was really good. That's what I used on my car. I used to use moly grease. That actually is better for sliding friction and I use that for my trunnions. A college classmate of mine worked at a Shell grease plant (where they made 1/2 the world's grease!). He said that moly grease would beat out oil in a sliding application like a trunnion by a large margin - though there is some controversy and some still prefer the gear oil. Where was I... Oh! Wheel bearing grease! I think that any good wheel bearing grease from a major manufacturer like Valvoline, Kendall, Shell, etc. would be fine since grease technology has advanced a lot more than wheel bearings! Just make sure you do a good job of packing them! I always do it by hand. I trusted a gizmo once and ended up burning up some bearings.
