Spigot bearing in the flywheel
« on: Tuesday,July 07, 2015, 12:53:08 AM »
I have an interesting challenge on my special.  I have got the spigot bearing adaptor and needle roller that SHOULD fit in the flywheel to take the end of the gearbox shaft. However my flywheel hole is 1.75 inches in internal diameter and the spigot bearing should fit into a hole of 1.5 inches in diameter. Puzzling? I'm stumped. Anyone got any ideas, anyone come across this before? probably need a special spacer made . I have asked Richard, but he's not come across that before.

Someone's previously fitted a different crank.  Make sure you get it balanced as well.

Have already had it balanced and lightened, just wondered maybe the flywheel if off an élan or something?
