What colour is the engine?
« on: Wednesday,December 03, 2014, 09:21:54 AM »
I'd like to touch up the paint on the engine and thermostat housing. Looks a grey/blue kind of drab colour. Friend says it's the right colour, but no idea what it's callec or where to buy a touch up pot.

Anyone know?

Also. There are two small holes on the rear bumper. Not sure if they do anything. Should they have rubber grommets fitted? Cheers and thanks. Gary

The blue-grey color is probably correct. As per Miles Wilkins, "No engine ever left the factory in any colour other than Lotus grey. An air drying enamel is ideal, and one coat is sufficient". The two holes in the bumper are fitted with grey plastic grommets on mine.

Ok. I'll try and find Lotus grey enamel. Perhaps a dealer might have a pot...

Thanks. Gary

For the two holes on the rear bumper mine has polished stainless rivets.  A friends wanted some so I made up a batch and sold them to members of the Europa yahoo list.  If you're interested I might have some left.
