Series 1 Dash Measurements
« on: Friday,November 07, 2014, 01:32:27 PM »
I'm planning on making a Series 1 dash for my car, but don't want to shell out for the part from Banks (even though I really should), so can someone possibly measure the dash inserts for me?  I've attached a sketch I've made up,  I took some images off the Interwebs and drew over them in CAD to come up with the rough dimensions.

Thanks,
Rod

I'll go and measure my inserts tomorrow. I have the original side pieces, but my centre-piece was replaced by a modified one, but I can get rough dimensions from that.

Kind regards,

Serge

EDIT:

I've added a new JPG with my measurements. I didn't have much time so I couldn't get everything, but I hope it's helpfull. Also, take the measurements with a grain of salt, it's the best I could do with a tape-measure and a 47 year-old piece of aluminium.

That's great!  I look forward to the measurements.

I've edited my original message with the new dimensions.

Thanks Serge!  The measurements will give me a good starting point.
