VDO Speedometer & Tachometer
« on: Monday,April 21, 2014, 11:56:26 AM »
Hi,

I'm looking to buy a new set of VDO speedometer and Tachometer for my S1 (currently I got no gauges at all...)

Anyone know which ratios or special things I need to know to match a VDO to the Lotus?

Thanks :)

Lior

I use fuel and oil pressure gauges made by VDO and you need the matching sensors for them. I don't know, if a VDO speedo fits with the tachometer shaft. The diameter is 80 mm.

VDO are well made quality products and worth the money they cost.

Are you looking at electronic bits for both. I know VDO make electronic ones which can be self calibrated, used one in my Westfield.  A lot easier to fit a sensor somewhere than sort out the mechanics of a cable driven speedo.
