Our own rjbaren's '73 TCS up for auction on BaT
« on: Friday,August 23, 2024, 02:37:57 PM »
rjbaren's TCS is on auction at BaT (https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-lotus-europa-twin-cam-special-11/). I think he's done himself proud with the car. I'm a little disappointed that he only put 1800 miles on her! She really needed to get out more, rjbaren! I expect it will get a good price!

Good luck rjbaren!!

It shows very well, and the engine compartment looks great. As an original paint car, I got a chuckle out of the BaT member who asked about the quality of the paint on a 1 - 10 scale, 10 being a show car. I would suggest that, given the rating scale, no Europa ever left the factory with paint better than a 7.

Good luck with sale, RJ.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

Sadly the reserve wasn't met. It was bid to $25,000.   I think it deserved a lot more than that since it was pretty much a brand new restoration (less new paint and dash). On the other hand, rjbaren will still be with us for a while!  :pirate:

This looks like a great car and kudos to RJ for holding true to his expected value. These cars aare worth a lot more but they seem to be on the low end of the scale for some reason. Lets give it a go again and see if it brings in a higher value
