Error in the online TC Workshop manual
« on: Sunday,August 25, 2024, 01:59:27 PM »
I hope I'm the only one who got caught by a "typo" in the online TC Workshop manual Technical Data section. I figured that the manual was scanned with OCR since it is searchable, and it probably was but the scanning left out a few characters. The attached photo is a screen grab from the online TC Workshop manual Technical Data section. What is missing is the '-' that go with the allowed tolerance.

For example:
The front camber spec says "0° to +30'" but my printed manual says "0° to ±30'"
The front castor spec says "2° 30' + 30'" but my printed manual says "2° 30' ± 30'"
The front swivel pin inclination says "9° + 30'" but my printed manual says "9° ± 30'"

A quick look through the rest of the Technical Data section doesn't bring up any other similar issues. In fact, for the rear suspension, the online manual states correctly that the rear camber is "-1° ± 30'."

This does not seem to be a problem for the S1/S2 manual.

Thanks for catching that (almost 20 years after Jerry Johnson, Steve Veris, and I scanned it in...lol.)  Don't even have the original scans anymore...will take a look at what I have a see if I can edit (though, it's been a while since I looked at the files or even used the software, long out of date, to make changes.)

Not a problem, Bryan! Having them online and searchable is such a great thing! You all did some very important and valuable work back then and I for one are VERY appreciative!
