Best grease for front suspension bolts?
« on: Monday,March 04, 2024, 10:15:43 AM »
My chassis now has a Spidercars front member on it.
They supply double end threaded bolts which should make future maintenance simpler.
But I note that even in the short time (Too long!) the chassis has been waiting for assembly they have become more difficult to move.
So some sort of grease is certainly needed, not sure what might be best.
I have varied chassis lube and also Silicon grease.
I know I will need to move the upper bolts to refit the body when the day finally arrives.
For now I am trying to begin front suspension assembly.

The first rule of thumb is that ANY grease is better than the nothing the factory did.  Just remember that copper antiseize is not recommended for SS fittings.
