Swung by Ray's this afternoon on the way back from an appointment to refresh my stock of needed parts.
I don't think that the replacement Spax shockers I installed in June were up to the task; they seem to bottom out quite easily (even trying to crank up the adjustment higher...they're still a bit worn...and IIRC, the spring rate was stiffer than the stock 115 lbs...so the suspension was depending on the springs to make up for the wear in the shocks. So...picked up a fresh set of front shocks, 115lb rate springs, and the adjustment tool. Will swing by a buddy's shop and install the springs using the proper professional-quality compressor kit he has.
Also picked up a fresh set of engine mounts, gearbox mounts, and the front radius arm mount donuts. I have poly bushings for the lower arms, so, when I pull the engine, I'll swap out the perished rubber bushings and use the poly for the lower arms. Thinking that replacing the rear shocks may be a item to address later; can always refresh them with matching Spax.
And a couple hoses that are missing from the cache of parts that came with the car...always good to refresh ALL the hoses if I'm pulling the lump, which is the same theory with doing all the mounts at the same time.
More parts to put on the shelf for the upcoming work. It's a good thing, right?
