Autocross in car video
« on: Monday,September 25, 2023, 03:18:13 AM »
I took a year off and decided to sweat it out in 93*F Az heat for the fist Fall run.

Over the summer, I removed 30 pounds lighted every part I had off and ended up at 1705 lbs with 1/4 tank. I increased spring rates  from 250 to 400 F and 450 to 550 R. This was an overall front roll couple increase of 3% (45% to 48%) to put a little more understeer in while stiffening everything up to reduce roll. I also increased front camber from  1.1* to 1.8* and rear 1.4* to 1.8*.

I was logging and adjusting traction control between runs. I kept increasing the slip angle 4 percent every run and it just got sloppier and harder to drive with the rear randomly stepping out under power. Last run was had barely any TC cuts and was only .1 slower but also so much harder to drive.  I ended up 24th out of 147 drivers.
