Anybody know someone who works with Renault trannies?
« on: Tuesday,June 20, 2023, 07:16:08 PM »
I'm rebuilding my NG3 (big adventure!). I can get all the bearings from 123Bearing.com except for two. Apparently, they are Renault specific.

I have phoned and emailed Nick at Lotus Supplies. He did reply to the first email saying he was having trouble with the phones. After that I emailed him and phoned him and was not able to contact him or get a reply.

I talked to Michel at Alpine-America on the phone, then emailed him in English and then again in French and haven't heard back.

I haven't called Meca Parts since they don't mention anything about Fuegos but maybe they're an option?

I haven't given up completely on either of those guys but I'm not going to sit around and wait for them to get back to me so I'm looking for options.

Does anybody know someone in the States (or Canada) that works with Renault trannies? I would use him as a parts source. I figure they probably have been where I am before or know enough to not be here in the first place.

Just a thought but over on the Groups.io list theres a recent thread entitled "Shop to Rebuild 352?" that has some input re local builders that might be helpful.
And by local, I mean not in Belgium.

Thanks Gavin! I did a search for NG3 but didn’t see anything about experiences or sources. I’ll give them a call.

Check with the Turbo Renault forum:

https://turborenault.co.uk

There is a noted transaxle specialist on it.  He did the custom machining for my 5 spd 3.56 pinion shaft.
