Care Package
« on: Thursday,February 23, 2023, 02:18:13 PM »
Care package from Quakertown today.

I note with pleasure that the new track end and ball joints that Ray is providing are equipped with Zerk fittings, and the rings holding the boots on are metal, not plastic, and the length of the track end is the same as stock (have an old used one and measured it.) so I should have no issues with adjustment range.

Also a set of stainless wheel nuts and washers.  Since having the wheels redone…old crusty rusty nuts just won’t do it.  Got to have nice nuts.  And stainless studs (and brass nuts) for the exhaust side of the head I'm finishing up and preparing for installation soon.

But Trust Lucas?  Really?

I have had Ray's stainless wheel nuts and washers for years, and they still look great.

I had to shorten my tie rod ends as the threaded portion was longer than the originals.

Found that with parts sourced from moss or vickie brit (when they were in business...), even though it looked right...it wasn't.

Ray is careful (as is DBE, JAE, etc...they know we all talk in various fora...) in where he sources from in my experience.
