That is a very nice car! They didn't show the underneath but I would guess it's probably in keeping with the rest of the car.  The interior is very nicely done with cloth inserts in the seats. The gray works well there. There is what looks like an electrical plug in the trunk on the driver's side. I'm not sure what that could be for.

Will they get $45K? I have no idea. I think CertifiedLotus got $40K for his freshly restored TC 4 speed a couple of years ago. Hagerty lists the price of a concours 1974 example at $45,200 so it's possible but I think they are a bit optimistic.

Skinflint inflation?
You know how it is, offer to sell for a dollar and be offered fifty cents.
Expect some haggling unless the buyer is just so wealthy they do not care.

It's the two air inlet (trumpets?) On the air filter housing. You can just see the concertina hose that goes to the air box on the carburettors

The inlets to the air filter.  They used a filter assembly off (IIRC) the Cortina.  That's stock for the TC/S.  The flex hose goes from there to the stromberg airbox.

Pretty sure that extra wire socket on the rear trunk looks like either 1) an external 12V socket (perhaps to plug in a phone charger when at a show and the boot's up? or 2) a place to plug in a battery maintainer.  Either way, I'd have hidden it under the trunk or in the cockpit somehow.  Eh.  To each his own.

I guess I have never seen the OEM style inlets still in place.

Has anyone ever ducted the inlet end below the car to grab cooler air rather than grabbing the hot engine bay air?

Yes, actually. There is at least one thorough thread on the subject, with lots of discussion and experimentation on the theory. The inlet is ducted down by the fuel tank. The consensus is that there is horsepower to be found there. The air is dirtier but cooler, though the Europa engine room is a pretty dusty place at the best of times, anyway. Good filtration is needed, but the air is significantly cooler.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

Thanks. I am thinking of getting or building an airbox to grab air below. I have noticed a real difference on a cool day before the engine bay warms up.
