'74 TCS 5-Speed/Minilite Rims/49K Miles in CA Listed on eBay @ $30K

On surface, looks clean. Offered by Kurt Tanner Cars. Dash replaced and very nice, and installed a Mountney steering wheel. Odd substituted plate on left aft of door, but original on right. Funky 1.6L above Europa Special plate I'd get rid of. Mostly appears stock, but no photos under bonnet or boot, so no pics of engine/tranny, nor of front or rear suspension (at least not when originally posted). Mentions newer carpets, headliner, crash pad, and replated bumpers in write up. Also new windshield, but no explanation why on any of those.   

Some preliminary info/history: Belonged to David McKeever (perhaps daveyhmck@aol.com) in Laguna Niguel, CA. Invoiced 4/11/1974 with original Engine #S31872 and Original Color "Roman Purple" (L21). Later changed to "Ferrari Fly Yellow", which is current color and looks in really good shape in photos.

Photos of engine bay and under carriage now posted. Reasonably tidy car, looks a solid driver, though under the beautiful shiny yellow paint it is very average in terms of fitted equipment and condition. There are a few minor issues that want sorting, mostly cosmetic (concur with OP's assessment of the 1.6 badge on the deck lid), and the left side ARB link may be tweaked. Overall a nice looking Europa, it will be interesting to see if it achieves the 'firm' ask.

I assume it was the Danny McKeever, of scca car racing fame, runs fast lane driving school, stunt driver in many movies.

I could check in with him and ask if anyone wants to know.

I have a vague memory of a David McKeever with a nice yellow TC attending one of Lotus Joe's gatherings when he had his shop in Long Beach CA. This was 10 - 15 years ago and I remember him telling me he had just finished the restoration and the trip to Joe's place was as far as he had driven the car. Even though he lived near me in South Orange County I never saw him or the car again.
