That's true. I have been going through every bore, cleaning and checking the depth. I guess the PO of these blocks left them unassembled and stored in an unfit environment.
I have been building this motor in my head for a long time, gathering parts, cleaning part, ordering parts. now that I'm building it, I laugh at the time frame since I started. Life gets in the way, and I try to accomplish something each day that passes. My son in law commented that he is glad that I am putting it back together because he is clueless. Not clueless but overwhelmed.
I tried to stay original but, am spoiled. I'm trying to make all the original features work as an unnoticeable upgrade.
