Quick Release Luggage Tray
« on: Saturday,August 20, 2022, 11:50:13 AM »
I would like to pass along a mod I did a while back.  An easy to remove luggage tray makes life so much easier when preforming routine maintenance.  The pictures, I believe, do a better job of explaining than many typed words.

Notes: 1) the Quik_Latch used is: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/qul-ql-25-s15

           2) The large support washers are made from 1/16 aluminum X 2 1/2" dia.

           3) I made up a couple of hat sections from aluminum round stock to center the latch pins.  This was done to, hopefully,
eliminate re-centering the latch pins in the event the cross beam is removed and reinstalled (Not absolutely
               necessary)

            4) The tray insert is just a piece of cardboard from a large box with a piece of cheep carpet from a local auto parts
                store attached with spray adhesive.

I can remove and re-install the tray as quickly an F1 car entering and leaving the pit lane!

Nice.  I used druz fittings in the floor and clips for the rear:
