Under Dashboard cover
« on: Saturday,December 10, 2022, 08:50:35 AM »
Hi All,

Just after some advice for what goes under the dashboard, I'm told there is a cover that hides the wiring and pipework etc, I can see fixing holes for something so am guessing that is where it would attach. Does anyone have any pictures of what they look like and material it's made of. Or know where I can source one.

All the best,
Jay

So far as I know it's just fresh air and your knees that go under the dashboard.

Ohh... right. It never came with one when I bought the car, but was told by a lotus specialist it should have one...

My 73 TCS didn’t have one. I think your specialist might have been thinking of a different car.

Ditto what these folks are saying. There's a vinyl/foam finishing strip at the bottom of the wooden dash, but that's about it. The centre console partially hides the wiring/fuses/etc from view when you're sitting normally but otherwise it's open on both sides - as in the shot below.
