Pedal Orientation
« on: Sunday,February 20, 2022, 02:12:17 PM »
Hooking up the clutch cable today using the cable from a VW I purchased awhile back. In order to crimp on the new front "anchor" is the correct orientation of the pedals at 90 degrees ? Ill be setting up the brake pedal neutral position next. The manual shows straight up and down in a picture.
I am going to try a rivet anchor for the crimp, but have plan B, lead block with a hole drilled through it.

There are quite detailed dimensions for the pedals in the Twin Cam manual in the braking system section. But I dont know if the S2 is the same.

Thanks silver I’ll look there . I did see details somewhere ,that must have been it.
Another thread it might have been on is when I purchased the cable . It’s my homework for tonight.

Lotus made the pedals and steering column adjustable in the S1 as the seats were fixed.  Calling them adjustable was much more than even the usual Lotus exaggeration as you had to use wrenches with your head stuffed in the driver’s footwell.  With the S2 and on, the pedals weren’t as adjustable, particularly the throttle, but you still could adjust them to suit.

Long way of saying that you adjust the clutch to match your preferences and the amount of pedal travel required.
