Suspension Arm Question
« on: Monday,October 25, 2021, 07:32:39 PM »
While reassembling the front suspension on my S2, I noticed some strange movement occurring. With the tie rod disconnected I was rotating the upright through its normal travel and I saw the lower a-arms flexing and twisting.  I initially
assumed that the stub the trunnion pivots on was bent,  but both sides are doing it.
Anybody else notice this?

I think that does indicate a bent upright. Certified had a similar problem with one of his uprights. He bought a new one and the comparison was pretty stark. It might be difficult to see without a known good one to compare against.

Yup, definitely bent uprights: very common.
