WTB: TC or TCS steering rack
« on: Saturday,May 22, 2021, 10:36:37 PM »
Hi,

I am looking to buy a Twin Cam or Twin Cam Special steering rack.

Edit: LHD

I am based in Europa, but will consider anything as long as shipping costs aren’t too crazy.

Thanks,

Serge

Left or right hand drive?

Do you have one already that needs refurbishing?

Triumph Herald racks are similar, so some of those parts can be used.

I’m guessing Serge is after the special rack extenders used by the TC/S.  They control bump steer much better than the S1/2 ones.

SJ Sportscars sells reconditioned racks. Since they don’t specify which Europa they are for, they are probably TC or TCS racks.

The rack extensions would be pretty simple to fabricate, I’m surprised nobody has done it yet. I guess there isn’t enough demand so far.

Yes, forgot to mention LHD.

And indeed would like the TC because of the rack extensions. If I can’t find any, I could have some made, but will try to source a rack first.

They are available new, but quite pricey. So hoping I can get a used one.

I didn't realise the TC & S1/S2 were different
