Part Source List
« on: Tuesday,March 16, 2021, 01:32:45 PM »
Has anyone ever compiled a list of parts off other cars used by Lotus?  I know the steering rack and steering column came from a Triumph Spitfire and they used as many off-the-shelf parts as they could.  My car was pretty stripped and I'm keeping an eye out for everything I'm going to need.

It's kind of funny, but finding parts for pedestrian vehicles from the 60s is actually quite difficult now.  Now the speciallized, Europa-only parts are easier to find.  Back in the day, it was the reverse.  Fortunately there was a good deal of cross pollination from period British sports cars and they are ridiculously well-supported now -- trust me, they weren't back in the day.
