I have them both with flat glass, as you can see they hinge up and down and also the glass is adjustable. If fixed in the right place on the door they offer a decent view tbh - tested both on the racetrack (first lap you need eyes in all directions which tests mirrors pretty well!) and also on the road, no issues to report other than occasionally you have to nip the bolt that holds the baseplate to the main body to stop them drooping - but this, I think, is mainly down to lifting them up when the car is in the garage to stop anyone catching them as they walk past. Have been fitted to my car for very nearly 20 years now.
