bench testing a NG3 transaxle
« on: Sunday,December 22, 2019, 02:33:30 PM »
I'm trying to test a NG3 transaxle off the car to check that it will shift smoothly and am stumped by the  two shafts on the back of the rear case. The bottom most shaft can be moved using attached lever to three detent positions. How do I test all the gears?

The bottom can get all five,  there's the fore and aft movement but it can also move in and out.   The shaft that is splined without a lever can also be used to move the lower selector in and out.  Reverse is tough due to the detent spring.
