Wood radio block off plate
« on: Monday,September 16, 2019, 06:41:11 AM »
I want to remove the stereo in my Special and would like to fill the hole in the dash with an original wood block off. Does anyone have one?
Thanks,'
Paul

Hi EPaul;
It would bug me that the wood plate didn't match the grain of the surrounding dash. As an alternative suggestion, my PO made a plastic block-off plate held in by 4 screws. I made a couple of SS spring-wire brackets to hold my iPhone attached by the screws. I'm sure there is a more elegant solution, but maybe this will trigger a better idea.

I guess it would depend on how far off it was. My grain is all pretty much straight across, so if it was like that I would say OK. My alternate is a more recent vintage sound system...although I probably wouldn't listen to it much.
