What alternator is direct fit Renault engine

I’m looking for an alternator that would be bolt on I’ve read somewhere that mini alternator fits without modifications I put a picture of one not sure if that’s the one
I screwed up my Motorola alternator probably because of bad ground ammeter going 30+ and wire getting hot now the field doesn’t work anymore I did some basic test the only thing I noticed the brushes were worn out and pretty dirty but I’m going to take it apart and check every part individually but for now I need a replacement alternator that fits without to much fabrication I will put it on my crossflow when I switch engine

  I cannot say what is direct , however the documents area under electrical has a few articles on alternates.

It’s all good! Thank for the voltage regulators I really appreciate I tried one of them and it worked fine
But I had other electrical issues bad grounds anyway the field on my alternator was not working anymore so I took everything apart learnt a couple of things I didn’t know like why is it called alternator because it produces alternative current !! and the rectifier transforms it into dc before when I had alternator problems I would just buy a new one but this one I tore it apart and tested every single part and found my problem there’s 2 slip rings on the rotor where the brushes touches one positive and one negative the windings are connected to those rings there is supposed to be resistance between the two but mine doesn’t it’s OL so the circuit is open therefore it will not energize I found a place that can change my slip rings they are a bit worn out and going to put new windings so it should be good another 50 years
I did look up on the forum and there is a member who installed a mini denso one wire 60 amps alternator and he wrote he only had to modify the top bracket but it worked fine picture below I bought one same dimensions except it’s 3 wires and 40 amps I ordered it before knowing if my rotor could be rebuilt below picture of my Motorola 12/30 taken apart and the picture of the new alternator with internal regulator really not expensive

It's always nice to be able to fix the original.

By the way, I believe it is actually alternating current as opposed to direct current (AC/DC).

Ok just recieved my mini denso alternator
and no it’s not direct fit
it needs a sleeve and a spacer at the bottom and a new bracket with spacer at the top
The pulley is v belt so that’s good and needs a shorter v belt  it’s the three wire  supposed to be 40 amps a little bit of machining and fabrication and it will fit perfectly

Alternators produce AC internally but it is rectified to DC internally as well so output is DC.
