Awesome photo. I love this set-up. It reminds me of a cool photo I once saw of Pete Lovely hauling his Lotus 49 on the back of a VW pick-up. How independent is that? I've been thinking of building a model of it.

BTW Lou, I'd be interested in seeing any photos that you may have squirrelled away of Lotus race car haulers in period, should you happen to get the notion to post some up.

Yup, that's the one. It brings a smile to my face every time I see it. I looks particularly bohemian with the big Lotus hauler in the background. Thanks for posting.

actually the VW is a type 4 engine two carbs. 120 CV with Porsche 914 pistons and cam.
