TC/Special Seats
« on: Friday,August 14, 2020, 02:51:09 AM »
Has anyone out there had any new seat tubs for a TC/Special made lately, preferably in the UK? Or does anyone have a set of fabrication drawings? Mine were so rotten I can't even use them as patterns.
Alternatively, has anyone found a good modern replacement? I need a seat that fits right back to the bulkhead and gives me maximum headroom. An S1 Elise seat tipped back a little isn't a bad fit.
Thanks.

NOT in the UK, but Ray at RD Enterprises had a set of brand new reproduced tubs.  I know the fabricator and it's possible he has the plans, but i'm sure they are just exact measurement replacements.  Let me know if you are inquiring further and i can put you in touch with him.
FYI only.

I think it was Alex (4129R) on here who had some aluminium frames made for his restorations ?  Might be worth a PM or search through his restoration threads.

Just saw this on eBay.

Not cheap but they are very difficult to find, and seem to have the cloth inserts.

When I had new seats made and trimmed, they cost a lot more than these.
