Trip today to Banks Engineering
« on: Friday,December 15, 2017, 01:20:02 PM »
Took a  trip today to pick up a screen and a few bits from Richard Winter at Banks. 400 mile round trip.
Had a good chat with Richard, had a few interesting projects on.
A picture of one of the bikes he’s built, some really clever work, a very clean look, it doesn’t look real, but it is!.
And his latest toy a Bell helicopter circa 1948, he intends to restore it.
It’s a worth a trip their to look at his collection of bikes and cars. An enjoyable day.

I would LOVE to visit Richard some time! He is responsible for a fair amount of the way my car ended up.

As I think about it, a friend of mine is having Richard build an S2 for him. After over a year (two years?), it was still not ready. Maybe Richard is spending too much time on helicopters and motorcycles...

Well there was a TCS in the workshop as well. It’s definately worth a visit if you get to the UK. Not the easiest place to get to tho. He is passionate about the stuff he’s interested in and the Europa is part of that passion. The quality of thought and work into that bike is amazing  down to the finishes.
