2x2 square, 1/8 wall, mild steel tubing.  Slot cut to receive frame loop.

Excellent idea. I normally use ramps but this is lot safer access to the underside than a floor jack and if you need to work on the rear suspension and can't use ramps. I'll have to remember this.

Nicely done, John! I'd been using a wooden step stool I made at summer camp when I was probably 10 years old. It finally gave up the ghost and I was looking for a replacement and I think you've given me an idea.

I don't know how to weld so I'm collecting welding projects to practice on (sometime). I'm planning on a gas strut prop system. I'm thinking I'll do something like what you have but fabricate stands where you use your jack stands.

looks nice and simple.
and concrete slab that looks dry.
with walls, and a roof.
i thought it was supposed to be done this way........

haha.
i add 2x4s to gain height.
my literature speaks of supporting the rear (near)where the hoop meets the chassis, makes all my jackstands look way short.
i like your setup.
