Rvi to Rvc conversion Spiyda
« on: Monday,March 21, 2016, 07:00:30 PM »
Hi group,
I have been looking at this company's products. There is a board that is semi plug n play but also an external device that does not require opening tach. The buffer around $60us and board around $66us.
Does anyone have any experience with their products?

Hi Eddie,

If it's this place

https://www.spiyda.com/magento/index.php/smiths-rvi-rvc-conversion-board.html

then, I've seen the same company and it looks a really neat way to convert a tach. The first time I saw it was on the Lotuselan.net forums because as you'd expect, Elans have the same tach problems with electronic ignitions.

and

It's a far neater solution than transplanting modern innards and I've been considering trying one on a spare tach because I do like the idea of being able to calibrate this one from your PC.   The external driver module is a new one to me, I've not seen that before.

I modified my Elan tach with the internal kit. Greatly recommended.
