Lotus 47 : Classic & Sports Car February 2016
« on: Friday,January 08, 2016, 09:01:29 AM »
just a heads up for those who don't get this mag, the February issue has a 4 page spread on a Lotus 47. Some really good photography, it's just a pity the best was split across two pages otherwise that would have been on the workshop wall in a frame.

Nice rebuild, some good detail pics in there.

That's the one Joe !  Iconic "I'm just about to fly down this road" photo.  And a very neat bit of scanning, it didn't work on my A4 scanner although I suppose I could get it better if I cut the pages out. But maybe read the mag first.....

Thanks for the heads up, Brian. It's a great magazine but pricey on these shores, so I only stop to get one a couple times a year or so. I'll be running out to get this one for sure. That low angle pics looks mean.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

It boggles the mind how they fit those massive tires without flaring the arches!!

I thought the same thing. The article commented about "flared arches" but they are then they don't look that far off standard.

If anyone can't get a copy and wants to read it, drop me a PM and I'll fire up the scanner.
