Converting breaker points to electronic ignition
« on: Wednesday,September 30, 2015, 11:25:48 PM »
Hi,

I have an 1971 S2 with an Renault Crossflow Engine.

I was thinking of converting my distributor from breaker points to Electronic ignition. I contacted a local dealer of Ignitor systems and they said that it wouldn´t fit my specific distributor. I have an Ducellier 4236 in my car. I am not certain that it would be strictly original as the Engine is a Crossflow Engine.

Anyone that has any ideas or recommendations?

Best regards
John

I've just had the Ducelier distributor on my 69 S2 converted to electronic ignition. I purchased the kit from Richard at Banks Europa. It's an  Ignitor EP141/142. I had a mechanic do the work, but he told me it was a very straightforward job.

Hope this helps

Regards

Alan
