New ReTread to Group
« on: Wednesday,May 07, 2014, 07:41:23 PM »
Reintroduce myself:
Whit 61yrs old, wrenching on Europa for 40 years, I've made most of the possible and impossible mistakes on these cars,  Live in Vista, CA with 2 Europa and years of collecting parts.
Gallery:  http://www.lotuseuropa.org/gallery/Whit01
Drove a 47 and 46 when 16 years old.  Like the 47 look so tried to make my TC look like one.  The Twink has been bored, stroked (1760cc) and dry-sumped, flared, lowered and on 7" wide wheels with GT6 front corners.  Now I'm going to build the 46 into a 46+1 complete with the naka ducts, 5spd, Blacktop and Spyder frame with rear "A" frames, right hand drive.
Found a lathe anyone out there who could help me figure out what it is?

:Welcome: Welcome to the forum, Whit. Sounds like some very interesting projects there. Looking forward to seeing/hearing more about them. Cheers.

Good to see you reappear Whit. Did the house rebuild ever get finished?

I met Whit at Joe's original gathering in Long Beach and have had the pleasure of visiting him twice in Vista. Quite a treat to walk from the house to his garage and see a Spyder frame laying in the weeds! I think he has more spare parts for Europa's / Twin-Cams than any supplier.

The house is going through the next addition of 3 bedrooms, then in a few years sell and find 1000 acres not in CA. Joe's original get together was IIRC 12 years ago...
