Is there supposed to be two of these?
« on: Wednesday,January 29, 2025, 07:44:58 AM »
My car had two of the door jamb light switches on the drivers side, I don’t see this in the wiring diagram, is this normal?

My TCS has both. I haven’t done the wiring yet, but I think one controls the light on the bulkhead, while the other activates the door-open buzzer.

Bingo.  That's what they are for.  I just disconnected the buzzer lead and taped it off.  My car is either locked in the garage or I'm driving it somewhere and parking for a few minutes.  I don't think in 50+ years of driving that I've ever left my car keys in the ignition outside of being parked in the garage!

So it only works if you left the keys in the ignition?

Yup. Part of the nanny state reminders they legislated into the cars.  Like the seat belt buzzer, ignition sequencer, etc etc etc.
