Renault rocker arm adjustment screws?
« on: Monday,December 16, 2024, 12:21:30 PM »
I am making an effort to actually get the roller rockers into production.
My intent is to do both Wedge and TS versions.
I do not want to get bogged down in making every component.
I can buy the adjuster studs from Europe, but a domestic source would be better.
So far no one has a clue for Renault parts.
So I wonder, does anyone know of a Japanese car that might use a compatible part?
I know, nothing is push-rod anymore, but the Japanese cars had more support.

I think I have already found a source for the rollers and axles.

Maybe air-cooled VW stuff might work?

I have some data to go over and an email to send.
At the moment the easy way to do this would be to also supply new custom push rods.
Doing that I may use a readily available adjustment screw.

R16 shop, $24.00 each x8.
Hmm, maybe I will just make them.
Should be simple enough on the CNC lathe.
Just have to get a program and figure out the best process.

It seems that I will most likely have to manufacture the adjusting studs too in order to keep my target retail price.
They are not complex and I think I have found a local heat-treat shop.
