WTB: Lotus Europa Type 46 Project
« on: Wednesday,June 05, 2024, 02:33:24 PM »
Hello everyone!
I am a young mechanic apprentice who has grown a sudden interest in early Europas (despite having, until recently, been more in love with Elans) but as my taste have suddenly changed (for the better if i may add  ;D) i find myself needing a project.

I am looking for an early Europa project, type 46 is by far preferred, as i enjoy them more, the older/the less developed, they are. (S1>S1A>..etc…)
I have always preferred a full project as opposed to an almost complete one, but anything has interest really!
I am from Denmark, and as i would really love to be without the trouble of having one shipped, a potential project would be preferred in Europe. (I am however excited to take a potential road trip ;D)

Please send anything that remotely fits the bill, that you find/know of, in my direction. I will greatly appreciate it, and i am hoping to soon join the rank of owner, as opposed to mere enthusiast  :D
Sincerely Mathias

 :Welcome:

Mathias, if you can't find a S1 over in your part of the world, my friend has a S1A for sale in Southern California as a last resort. If you have any interest, I'll try to convince her to get the car a title,

I have just had a look at it. Looks like a good basis for restoration, and exactly the sort of project that i would love to aquire. But lets agree to call it a last resort, as it really would be much easier to find something that i can simply pick up myself.

Welcome to the forum, Mathias. An S1 project is a brave endeavor. Good luck with your search and project.  :beerchug:
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.
