Fuel level sensor wiring
« on: Monday,January 22, 2024, 11:56:49 AM »
I moved the level sensor and wiring from the left to right tank as I am running one tank for now.
The original black wire to the sensor has no continuity to ground for some reason. The left tank’s original ground wire does, will the gauge/level sensor be fine using this ground (I am no electrician)? I think it will but I want to check.
The more I do the more I find I need to do....remember your ABC’s …anything but chinesium!

You will have to ground the sender otherwise it won't work. Is that what you're asking?

The grounds for that go through the cabin light. Provide a separate ground from sender to a ground stud you select. Then you can swap the sender from tank to tank and take the cabin light out of the picture.
  The more grounds the merrier.
