I have a Weber head Twin Cam engine that is currently installed in my ‘67 Elan DHC. It was installed a few years ago while the car belonged to a friend of mine. The original engine had seized, and this was put in its place. I subsequently bought the car and original engine, and then had the original professionally rebuilt.
After I put the originally engine back in, I will be selling the other one, but I have no idea what it’s worth.
The Weber head was rebuilt by a guy who specializes in TC’s, and was rebuilt to big valve specs. The engine itself was reassembled by myself and a mechanic friend. The block was cleaned and tested prior to assembly, and all of the clearances (bearing, valve, ring, etc.) were properly checked. It has a six bolt crank, but I don’t remember if it had square or round caps. I will check that out after it is pulled. Pretty sure it has “B” cams, but I will check that out as well. Currently around 600 miles on the engine.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Anyone interested?
Engine is in Minnesota, but I can crate it and ship it anywhere.
I also have the Europa alternator pulley, but not the Europa cams.
