Aha. Thanks dazakman. I must have put mine back on the wrong sides after the car was painted.

On my LHD 1968 Europa S2 (540936) there is one badge and it is on the right side. No signs of a badge being mounted on the left side. No holes, no filler or anything.
The color of the car is the original color and no one have touched it since 1973 until I found it (or them, I bought two). So minimal time to make changes on it  ;D

Iahi, Thanks for the information, that is completely opposite of the manual.
Thanks for the information, the more S2 owners that inspect their cars the better .
And

Well David,
My S2 body has holes on both sides for the S2 badges, (which I just bought 2 new ones)
But no holes for the grandprix decals.
But again, in those times they just used what they had .
When you start comparing Europa pictures you will find lots of differences in detailes, like mirrors , gages (some Lucas some Smith), seatbelts, etc.

My main concern is to have a correct parts manual. I personally like 2each S2 badges only.
Every car I ever owned have their id’s on both sides. I like symmetry and the parts manual is not written like that. I have also seen pictures of S1 with world Champion badge on the right side.

Glad to have found this as it saves me starting the same discussion.
I've been comparing 1970 S2's and pics prior to ordering new badges.
Seems some cars had one S2 badge, some two S2 badges, and some one S2 badge and one World Champions badge.
No S2's appear to have used the long rectangular championship badge, but a 1970 version is offered.
The body I will be using already has the holes on both sides.
I think I will do the set, S2 and Champions.
