50 Year Old Ignition Rotor?
« on: Saturday,May 27, 2023, 01:53:44 PM »
Hi:

Finally got around to popping the disti cap and was surprised to see this. Is it possible it's as installed at the factory? PO had the car since 1984 and says he never did anything to it. 33K miles total.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll need the rev limiter any time soon.  :(

Is that an S2'S Renault engine distributer? Dang it looks great compared to the ones I bought. I would save it even as a spare if you breakdown on the road. Just throw it in and off you go. only after changing out the components ,...of course. at least once in33K.

Standard twin cam issue. Lost warranty if you showed up without it.  Often not installed on road test cars
