Damn! What I wouldn't do to be able to afford that racer! That's the goal (in concept) for my 67 but I don't have the funds to purchase the racer outright sadly. I'll just have to build mine I guess. Good inspiration though!

It's always cheaper to buy someone elses build. Just the labor alone would save so much.

Totally feel the same, and do/did the same.  You also get to space out the expenses.

That price seems very cheap, considering some of the basket cases out there.
The lack of a front hoop and any door or side bars would concern me.
I spoke to owner. He has a verbal agreement with a buyer. Will let me know on Sunday.

So with the "hemi" heads is that a gordini, or what is it? It has zero miles since rebuild.
The boxing and bracing of suspension and chassis looks well done and obviously would increase rigidity greatly.
Not the cleanest way to to run the wiring( thru the center console)
It has custom adjustable pedals, and sounds like was well built.

Here in Florida I could have it tagged and titled in a matter of minutes.

By my understanding the TS head is not a "Gordini" head but has similarities and may claim inspiration from the Gordini.
It is also not a true "Hemi" as it has a flat quench area at one side of the chamber.
My TS head has been slightly modified for domed piston clearance.
I recall a fairly recent post where a member cut his head to a true Hemi.

Gordini was a self-taught tuner and performed wonders on very under stressed engines of the 40s, 50s, and early 60s.  With the arrival of the Cosworth, more scientific tuning methods eclipsed the old tuners.  He kept at it for a few more years but his engines were always down on power compared to the new competition.

He had some very peculiar ideas.  One being the central spark plug being in its own chamber with passages leading to either side of the combustion chamber, sort of a crazy dual plug set-up.  Renault bought him out and used his name for “high performance” versions.  Some actually hp, some racing stripe put-one.

True Hemi combustion chambers are antiquated and inefficient.  Squish is one thing but swirl really changed the game.  That is one thing that the crossflow’s flat spot provides.  I’d leave it in.

Forgive me if I sound down on Gordini.  Actually lots of tuners and companies badly bungled the transition to 4 valve chambers.  Suzuki, Ducati,  Honda, Yamaha and others all had major issues and took years to sort them.
