I once had some solid engine mounts made up. When I say solid, I mean solid rubber with no gap between the middle rubber portion and the U shaped frame of the mount.
The NHV was horrendous.
More recently, we've all seen various versions of modified mounts using a PU bush. I can't imagine the NHV is any better but curiously, haven't seen complaints.
I'd like to try one of those engine damper struts used on some older front wheel drive cars.
- fit alloy wheels that look exactly like the steel originals (even take hub caps!)
An ex colleague of mine owns Lotus Marques in Melbourne, Oz.
In the early days of getting that business off the ground, he commissioned precise copies of the original steel wheels using better steel and I think slightly thicker to combat the cracking that sometimes occurs around the holes.
I recall they sold like hotcakes at the time.
